In Russia, beheading sells chips

What an entertaining opus (over 40 spots here) of lo-fi animation and sound for Russki snacks Hrusteam (owned by Frito-Lay and PepsiCo), created by Russian production company Red Medusa.

The spots feature two fairly well-known pop culture icons doing the ultra-violent upon one another, usually to the death. But somehow it manages to seem kid-friendly (well, somewhat). The tagline translates into “Crunching without rules.”

Contra vs. Tetris

Frodo vs. Harry Potter

Madonna vs. Britney Spears

Enjoy, and please do visit the site to choose your own faves—and also, because nothing quite sells mass-produced snacks like a desktop pattern of busty Bavarian bitches in lederhosen peddling chips with their cleavage.
